María del Mar Ogea Pozo holds a BA in Modern Languages and Translation and Interpreting (Italian-Spanish-English) from the University of Salford (Manchester) and a PhD in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Córdoba. After completing a MA in Audiovisual Translation applied to Subtitling and Dubbing (ISTRAD), she worked as a translator specialised in biomedical and audiovisual texts for some years. Currently, she is a lecturer and researcher at the University of Cordoba and focuses her research on audiovisual translation and specialised language in audiovisual texts. She is a member of the research group Oriens HUM-940, chief editor of the journal Transletters and coordinator of the website TradAV.
