Soledad Díaz-Alarcón is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Córdoba, Spain, where she teaches Translation and Interpreting. Her research areas include Literary Translation (French into Spanish), whit a focus on postcolonial Franco-Maghrebi literature, French detective novels, as well Translation Didactics. She is a prolific author whose works include including articles in indexed journals such as Babel, Hermeneus, Çédille, etc., book chapters in publishers such as Rodopi, Peter Lang, Síntesis, Silex, Visor, and others, as well as books on detective novels. She has carried out research stays at the Université François Rabelais (Tours, France), the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Spain) and the University of Wolvertampton (UK) among others, and she has also participated in numerous international conferences. She is currently involved in several projects including INMOCOR (I+D+i project) and PROADMIN (I+D+i FEDER project) both funded by the Junta de Andalucía. Soledad is currently Editor-in-chief of the translation journal Hikma: Revista de Traducción and the Nuevos Horizontes Electrónicos series by UCO Press.
