Valentina is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the WATCH-ME project (University of Warsaw, Poland). She holds a PhD in AVT from the University of Leeds (UK), where she investigated mnemonic retention of reverse subtitles in advanced L2-Italian learners using eye-tracking. She is interested in the cognitive and psycholinguistic aspects of translation – both as a learning tool and as a professional practice – and particularly in subtitle reading as explored by eye-tracking technology.
