Marga Navarrete is a Spanish language coordinator at University College London, UK, where she also teaches Spanish, translation and localisation at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her PhD research focuses on the impact of active audiodescription tasks on language learners’ oral competence. She has taken part in a number of audiovisual translation (AVT) collaborative research studies on language learning, including the EU funded ClipFlair project, where she designed, piloted and published translation AVT tasks, and disseminated lessons learnt.
